Karwa Chauth 2026 at a glance
Details | |
Date | Thursday, 29 October 2026 |
Fast begins | About 6:31 AM (sunrise, New Delhi) |
Puja muhurat | About 5:38 PM to 6:56 PM (New Delhi) |
Moonrise | About 8:17 PM in Delhi · about 9:00 PM in Mumbai |
Moonrise shifts by city, so check your local panchang before the day. Mumbai’s later moonrise is good news for mehndi: the stain gets extra hours to darken before she opens her fast.
Why mehndi and glow make the perfect Karwa Chauth gift for your wife
Jewellery gets locked in a cupboard. A gift voucher gets forgotten. But mehndi is part of how many women prepare for Karwa Chauth, and her hands will be in every puja photo, every thali shot and every moonrise selfie.
- She uses it tonight, not “someday”.
- It’s personal. You noticed what she actually does to get ready.
- It’s affordable. Everything below sits between ₹40 and ₹299.
- It’s a shared moment. Mehndi takes hours. You bring the chai. That’s the real gift.
5 Karwa Chauth gift ideas under ₹500
1. Organic mehendi cones
Her hands are the star of Karwa Chauth, so start there. Our organic mehendi cones are made from henna grown in Sojat, Rajasthan, and every batch is herbal and PPD-free. Boxes start at ₹90 for 12 pieces. The popular Hans Dulhan Instant Cone (12 pcs) is ₹120 right now (marked down from ₹300).
Gift tip: Offer to be her designated phone-holder and snack-feeder while the cone does its work.
2. Ubtan pithi powder
Nothing says “I thought about you” like helping her glow for the puja. Our ubtan pithi powder is a 100% natural, herbal blend that gently exfoliates and brightens. It suits all skin types. A 50 g pack costs ₹40.
How she uses it: Mix with rose water, milk, yogurt or plain water into a smooth paste, apply on clean skin, leave for 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse off while massaging gently. Use 2 to 3 times a week, and do a patch test first. A day before mehndi works well; just make sure her hands are clean, dry and lotion-free before the cone goes on.
3. Mix mehendi oil
This is the “secret weapon” gift. The mix mehendi oil is made with 100% natural ingredients to help the stain turn deeper and last longer. It’s quick-absorbing and non-greasy, and comes in 250 ml, 500 ml and 1 litre bottles. It also works with hair henna, so it keeps giving after Karwa Chauth.

4. Henna after-care balm
The cheapest gift on this list is also the one that protects all your effort. After the dried paste is scraped off, a natural after-care balm helps seal the stain and keep hands soft. so it’s the perfect stocking-filler to tuck into any hamper.
